Manually request a card imprint
An imprint is not limited to online bookings. You can request one yourself, on a reservation taken at the counter or by phone, in two ways:
- when you create the booking — the reservation form has a Card guarantee section;
- later, on an upcoming reservation — reopen the reservation to edit it: the same Card guarantee section appears while no guarantee is in place yet.
Either way, the guest gets a secure payment link by email and the reservation waits on its guarantee until they save a card.
Set up the request
Section titled “Set up the request”In the Card guarantee section, turn on Request a card guarantee. You set the guarantee amount, a payment deadline (48h by default, clamped to before the reservation) and Auto-cancel if unpaid, on by default: without a card before the deadline, the reservation is cancelled. Each field is described in the reservation form.

A guarantee needs a contact email: without one the link cannot be sent, and the field flags that an email is required. The request is not possible on a past reservation, nor while the payment account is not active.
At the deadline
Section titled “At the deadline”Until the guest saves their card, the reservation waits on its guarantee. One reminder is emailed to them about halfway to the deadline.
At the deadline, if the card is still not saved:
- with Auto-cancel if unpaid on, the reservation is cancelled and the guest is emailed to say so;
- without it, the request simply expires, the reservation stays confirmed, and you decide what to do next.
You are notified when the guest completes the guarantee, and when a request expires unpaid.
Resend or withdraw the request
Section titled “Resend or withdraw the request”Until the guest has paid, the reservation detail offers two actions. Resend link re-sends the payment email; a short cooldown stops it being resent several times in a row. Withdraw ends the request behind a confirmation: the pending card capture is cancelled, automatic cancellation is turned off, and the guest is emailed that no guarantee is required. The reservation stays confirmed.
