Pages and navigation

The Pages screen sets what your website contains and where each entry appears:

SettingsWebsitePages

The Site navigation card lists the entries: Home page, always in the navigation, then Menus, Photos, Reviews, Contact and directions, Press, your custom pages and your links. Drag an entry to change its order at the top and bottom of your pages.

For each entry, Shown in offers three choices:

Choice Effect
Navigation At the top of every page.
Footer At the bottom of every page, with the legal notice.
Hidden Removed from the site; kept here.

The Reviews page shows on the site only from 5 published reviews, see Reviews on your website.

The Add button offers:

  • A link — to a Web address or a PDF document, with a Label. As a Link, it is added at the end of the navigation; as a Header button, it shows next to “Book”. The site has one header button at a time.
  • A page — a custom page, described below.

The Header button card shows that button, or offers Add a header button when the site has none.

A custom page holds:

  • a Title, which its address follows, and a Text;
  • Key facts — Label and Value rows, six at most;
  • an Illustration — None, One photo of its own, or An album from your Photos page;
  • Buttons at the bottom of the page, two at most: to a web address, a PDF document, Email the establishment or Call the establishment. Without an email or phone, neither on the button nor on the Venue screen, the button does not show.

Each custom page also has its section on the home page, see The home page. Deleting the page removes both.

The Press entry opens the list of your articles, from newest to oldest by publication date. Add an article asks for a Title, a Date and the Publication, with a Link (optional) and an Image (optional). While the Press page is hidden, your articles do not appear on the site.

The Forms card holds two settings:

  • Contact form — shown on the website’s Contact page. Messages go to the contact email on the Venue screen; without that email, the form cannot be turned on. If a message could not be delivered, the card says so with its date.
  • Newsletter sign-up — shown at the bottom of every page of the site. Subscribers arrive in Guests, with the source Website newsletter and the Newsletter sign-ups filter.
