Choosing the period and comparing

The three statistics pages share one bar of controls at the top: the period, the comparison, the grouping and the filters. They all read the same setting, so a period or comparison you choose on one page stays in place when you move to another.

Statistics

The statistics are visible only to the owner and manager roles: these are management numbers. A staff or viewer member of your team has no access to the section and is redirected to the home page.

The section splits into three pages, in the left-hand menu:

The period picker, top left, opens five shortcuts: Last 30 days (the default), Last 90 days, Last 12 months, This month and This year. Specific date range… opens a calendar to set your own start and end dates. The period you choose applies to all three pages.

The Comparison menu sets each figure against a reference period: Previous period (the default), Previous year or No comparison. When a comparison is active, its label shows the compared dates and most key metrics carry a change pill — up or down against the reference. The Email opt-ins and SMS opt-ins metrics on the Guests page are the exception: they reflect your current base, not the period, so they carry no pill.

Previous period depends on the period you chose. Last 30 days, Last 90 days and Last 12 months compare with the same length of time just before. This month, This year and a custom period that starts on the 1st of a month step back by whole months, date for date: the year so far compares with the same dates last year, a full year with the year before, a full month with the month before.

The number of open days can differ between the two periods. The gap is spelled out in the pill’s detail, so you read the change with that caveat in view.

On the Activity page, the Group by menu changes the step of the Covers per day chart: Day, Week or Month. The options depend on the length of the period — day up to about three months, week from two weeks, month from two months. This control appears only on the Activity page.

Still on the Activity page, two filters narrow the figures: Service (the day’s services — lunch, dinner…) and Channel (where the reservation came from). Each takes several values. The channels are Widget, Entered by staff (phone, counter…), Walk-in (no reservation), Phone, Google, Imported and Off-schedule, plus Embedded widget and API if you receive bookings through them. The filter offers only the channels present in the period. These filters exist only on the Activity page.

A rate or an average built on fewer than five reservations or responses shows “—” instead of a figure: a value built on three items misleads more than it informs. The real count, marked “n”, stays shown under the metric. A dash can also mean, more simply, that there is no data for the period.

The Export (CSV) button downloads the current page as a file: one section per table and chart, with the same labels as on screen. The file name carries the exported page and period.
