The home page
The home page is the first page of your website. You set it up here:
SettingsWebsiteHome pageThe screen has two cards, saved together by the same Unsaved changes bar.
The top of the page
Section titled “The top of the page”The Top of the page card holds what your guests see when they arrive:
- Tagline — a short sentence under the venue’s name.
- Introduction — the introduction text, with its formatting. Its length is limited, formatting included; a message gives the maximum when it is exceeded.
- Cover photo — at the top of the website and when it is shared. The Add a cover photo button uploads a file; Change and Remove change it afterwards.
The cover photo is one of the steps before going online, see Your website.
The home page sections
Section titled “The home page sections”The Home page sections card lists what follows the top of the page, in the site’s order. The top of the page is pinned first, the Footer last (footer links, legal notice, languages).
| Section | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Hours and address | From Contact and directions, with the map and “Directions”. |
| Our menus | The names of your first 5 menus, each with a button. |
| Photos | The first 6 photos and “See all photos”. |
| Reviews | The 3 latest reviews. |
| Press | The 3 latest articles. |
| A custom page | Title, start of the text and a “Learn more” button. |
Each section has a switch to show or hide it, and a handle to drag it. Its menu offers Edit, which opens the page where its content is set, plus Move up and Move down.
A section whose page is hidden in the site navigation cannot be shown: show the page first, see Pages and navigation. A section with no content carries the Empty badge.
The order of the navigation at the top of the site is set separately, in Pages.
