Menus
Your menus make up the Menus page of your website. You manage them here:
SettingsWebsiteMenusThe list of menus
Section titled “The list of menus”The Your menus card shows them in their display order on the site. Drag a menu by its handle to change that order; its switch shows or hides it. These changes apply with the Unsaved changes bar.
A menu’s … menu offers Edit, Duplicate, Hide or Show, and Delete. Deleting a menu removes it from the site with its dishes, and it is permanent.
Creating a menu
Section titled “Creating a menu”The New menu button asks for a Menu name and a Type:
| Type | What it is |
|---|---|
| Typed in | Sections, dishes, prices and allergens. Readable by Google, and translated automatically when the site has other languages. |
| PDF document | Your menu as it is: a PDF of at most 20 MB, which your guests can also download. |
| External link | A menu hosted elsewhere, by its web address. |
Typing in a menu
Section titled “Typing in a menu”The Details card holds the menu’s Name and Description, as well as Show allergens. On, the site shows each dish’s allergens; off, it says they are available on request.
A typed-in menu is made of sections (“Starters”, “Desserts”…). The New section field and the Add button create one; a section’s Dish button adds a dish to it.
A section’s … menu offers Rename, Duplicate the section, Move to another menu, Hide the section and deletion. A dish’s offers Edit, Duplicate, Move to…, Copy to another menu, Hide this dish and Delete. Sections and dishes are dragged by their handle; a dish also moves with Move up and Move down.
A dish’s page
Section titled “A dish’s page”A dish’s page holds its Name, its Description and its Section, then:
- Price — a single price, for example 9.50. Offer several sizes or variants replaces it with a list of variants, each with its label and price; Back to a single price undoes it.
- Allergens — tick the dish’s allergens, or No allergens in this dish. Without either, the dish is flagged Allergens to check in the menu.
